Simultaneously, World Day of Liberal Professions is celebrated.
The event takes place in Porto on September 23, World Day of Liberal Professions, at the Auditorium of the Municipal Library Almeida Garrett, in the Gardens of the Palácio de Cristal.

Ricardo Valente, Councilman responsible for Finance, Economic Activities, Inspection, and for Economy, Employment, and Entrepreneurship, will participate in the Panel “Liberal Professionals in Europe and in the World,” with the expected participation of CEPLIS | European Council of Liberal Professions, CNPL | National Confederation of Liberal Professions of Brazil, and UP | Professional Union of Spain.
The discussions will focus on issues concerning Mobility, Recognition of Qualifications, and Continuous Training for liberal professionals and freelancers.
Ricardo Valente, who will address Porto’s strategy in attracting talent, fostering innovation, new technologies, and entrepreneurship in liberal professions, states: “Today, Porto positions itself as a reference location for business projects at the European level. This creates a set of opportunities for the entire local economic ecosystem, particularly for all liberal professionals who support economic activity and the quality of life of those who reside and work here.”
